A year ago, in March 2023, high sea surface temperatures began breaking records worldwide. Now, a year later, the water in the North Atlantic Ocean is still unprecedentedly warm. This could have a major impact on the 2024 hurricane season. In 2023, the extremely warm sea water also resulted in an above-average active hurricane season, despite the dampening influence of El Niño on North Atlantic hurricane activity. What makes my heart smile? This post 🧡🙌🏼Happiness or luck isn’t something you achieve, it is something you feel… Even though some healthy ambition can give you great purpose in life…pursuing more, better, bigger all the time is what often distracts us from what truly matters. (I’ve been there myself)It’s actually quite simple, just ask yourself:What makes your heart smile? What gives you a feeling of ease and gratitude? What inspiring story would you like to tell your grand children?Whatever it is, - spoiler alert - though we are programmed to believe otherwise, the answers are definitely not related to money nor material things. I am proud to witness how my sister Lizzy-Bo Janssen, her partner Noah Madern and baby Glenn are taking the leap. They recently moved into their newly purchased sailing boat and are planning to sail the world as of next spring. They are embracing the unknown and choose to live on their own terms. Easy? - nope. Scary? - of course! Exciting? - hell yes!Knowing how it feels to go against (main)stream and to stay grounded in your decision and path, despite the opinions and fears of everyone else: this takes real coeur-age ♥️🇫🇷… choosing to lead and live from the heart. To me, their decision feels like braveness 2.0 - I prefer seeing the shore from my surfboard 😅, yet my love for them and their dream wins it from putting my healthy fears on them.Can’t wait to see their sails appear on the horizon next year while enjoying my favority happy daily activity: sunsets.
