WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR MAY 21

Burn out ideas, repetition is key to madness, abduction. Four puffs makes me a cartoon, an expressionlessistic surveilled artist, okay. There’s no human pain in my voice, it’s something else’s. What if she’s just a conversation I am having with myself? Regardless, I’m here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with a recap of last week’s show.

Fallon Henley vs. Thea Hail (NXT Women’s North American Championship Qualifying Match)

The D’Angelo Family make their entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial we get a recap of Gallus’ return from last week and an update that Ivar is out of action and social media back and forth getting Joe Coffey into Ivar’s place in a NXT North American Championship contender’s match.

Gallus are interviewed backstage, they wish Ivar a good hospital stay and tell Wes Lee and Josh Briggs they turned out stronger than expected, and Oba Femi should watch out.

Backstage, Robert Stone is schmoozing one of the women about maybe being managed by him when Lexis King walks up to talk trash about Chelsea Green not even wanting anything to do with him and says he’s never gonna get anywhere with anyone but King.

Ava Raine rolls up and tells Lexis he has a match tonight and he’ll find out who he’s wrestling when he’s in the ring. Stone says he wants to hand King his ass and Ava points out he didn’t do great in his last match and they’ll find the perfect opponent.

Oba Femi makes his entrance and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Riley Osborne blames Ridge Holland for them getting ejected but Ridge steps up to make a defense of his actions.

Riley blames him for Thea losing the opportunity of a lifetime, Ridge says he lost their match last week and he gave him the benefit of the doubt. They bicker and Andre Chase steps up and tells them to settle it in the ring and shushes Duke Hudson when he tries to step forward.

Joe Coffey vs. Josh Briggs vs. Wes Lee (NXT North American Championship #1 Contender’s Match)

Oba Femi is on commentary for this one.

Karmen Petrovic and Natalya are interviewed backstage.

Petrovic says they’re ready for tonight and Nattie says Karmen doesn’t give herself enough credit and they’ve really bonded and they’re going to win tonight.

Brinley Reece is working out backstage with Edris Enofe and Malik Blade.

Enofe is depressed about their bad luck of late and Blade gives him a pep talk about how they have to take a page from Reece and stay positive. She asks if they’re coming out and when Malik says they’d just weigh her down, she says it’s up to them and we go to break.

Brinley Reece vs. Jaida Parker (NXT Women’s North American Championship Qualifying Match)

A little light lucha libre to start, arm drag into an armbar for Reece, Parker hosses out of it and rams her into the corner but Brinley blocks with right hands! Whip into a hair pull into the corner, Reece up to the second, Jaida cuts her down with a kick to the midsection! Setting Reece up in the turnbuckles, hanging seated senton!

Jaida Parker wins by pinfall with a running hip attack, qualifying for the NXT Women’s North American Championship ladder match.

Backstage, Jazmyn Nyx talks to Fallon Henley about how she made a point of waiting until AFTER her match to get revenge on Thea Hail.

We get a Wendy Choo vignette of her waking up and getting out of bed (face unseen) and we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a WrestleMania 41 hype reel followed by a Roxanne Perez hype reel.

Ava Raine is in her office on the phone talking about how everything’s in place and Roxanne will find out her next challenger next week.

Lexis King makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He says he’s been on a bit of a hot streak lately and we all know that whoever walks through that curtain tonight is going to join a long list of gentlemen who have fallen to the king. In 2024 he’s virtually undefeated—

Enter Robert Stone, followed shortly after by Dante Chen!

Dante Chen vs. Lexis King

Collar and elbow, shot off, King with mounted punches in the middle of the ring! Whip reversed, boot up in the corner, Chen with a kick combo into a dropkick, whip across, big back body drop! Lola Vice and Shayna Baszler chat backstage and Baszler asks Vice to keep the dancing backstage but she begs off.

Trick Williams is shown walking backstage to send us to break.

Back from commercial we some hype for this year’s Clash at the Castle.

Trick Williams makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He says when Noam Dar dropped him from behind he took that on the chin and then last week Dar got attacked backstage and if anybody knows how that feels, it’s him, and he wouldn’t wish that on anybody. So he’s gonna say it one time and make it crystal clear, he didn’t attack Noam Dar, and if he did attack him, he’d be unconscious and he wouldn’t have been holding his leg, he’d have a size 15 Jordan tattooed on his forehead, he don’t attack from behind.

Enter the rest of Meta-Four.

Jakara Jackson says he’s got these crusty musties tricked, but they’re not, and they know either him or Je’Von Evans attacked Noam. Oro Mensah tells Williams to grow up and admit he’s a low-life who doesn’t deserve to be champion. Lash Legend speaks up for him and says he didn’t attack Dar.

Oro questions her, Trick comes to her defense, and Joe Coffey of all people makes his entrance.

He says we’re probably wondering why he’s here and says you’re about to find out why, and Gallus attack Williams in the ring, beating him down until Je’Von Evans makes the save! Lighting them up with punches until That Damn Numbers Game overwhelms them and Joe hits a high cradle German suplex on him!

Trick recovers, wild right hands for Gallus but again, there’s three of them and he gets cut off and booted to the mat!

We see our main event competitors walking backstage and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Robert Stone gives Dante Chen a pep talk about his win when Ava Raine rolls up to congratulate him also. Chen thanks her for the opportunity but she gives Stone credit and Dante shakes his hand.

Commentary hypes up next week’s show.

Karmen diving crossbody, looking for a Sharpshooter, Baszler runs in, the match breaks down! Nattie clobbers Shayna with a forearm, Vice lands a reverse roundhouse kick on her, wiggles her butt, looking for a Sharpshooter but Neidhart reverses into one of her own! Petrovic diving crossbody, Baszler puts her in the Kirifuda Clutch but Karmen slings her to the floor and gets back into position for the tag!

Natalya with a big body blow, tag made... HART ATTACK! IT’S OVER!

Karmen Petrovic & Natalya win by pinfall with a Hart Attack on Lola Vice.

Post-match, Baszler helps Vice up but Lola knocks her out with a flash kick and wiggles her ass at her! Shayna pops up while she’s dancing on the apron and puts her in the Kirifuda Clutch, choking her out as referees swarm! A pull-apart develops on the floor!

Ava Raine comes to the stage and says it’s clear that both of them are looking for a fight and she kinda wants to see it too, so they can do this at Battleground! Shayna takes the mic and says no, she wants an NXT Underground Match!

They go back to brawling.

That’s the show, folks.
